Michael Winston “Mike” Mobley, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, loyal friend, and passionate motorcycle enthusiast, passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on August 2, 1962, Mike grew up in Bessemer City, North Carolina, where he formed lifelong friendships, strong values, and a love for family and community. At the time of his passing, he resided in North Myrtle Beach, a place he cherished for its beauty, peace, and the people he came to know there.
Mike found true freedom on two wheels. Riding motorcycles wasn’t just a pastime – it was part of his identity. He loved the open air, the hum of the engine, and the quiet reflection that came with every mile. Whether exploring new routes or enjoying familiar roads, he embraced each journey with gratitude and a full heart.
A devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Mike rarely missed a game. Saturdays in the fall were filled with excitement, tradition, and spirited banter about the team he supported so proudly.
His greatest pride in life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Terra Mobley, who walked beside him through life’s joys and challenges, sharing a bond built on love, commitment, and partnership.
He is also survived by his children: Ian Mobley, Brandon Mobley (Tracy), Zack Haught (Brittany), Brittani Fox (Dalton), and Colton Ray.
Mike was a deeply cherished Pawpaw to his grandchildren: Pierce, Hazel, Lucy, Braylor, Gracelyn, Micah, Taven, Logan, and Lilly – each one bringing joy, pride, and laughter into his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Mobley and Charlotte “Maxine” Clark, whom he loved deeply and carried in his heart throughout his life.
Known for his humor and straightforward wisdom, Mike often reminded others with his trademark saying, “Got to be tuff when you are dumb.” His lighthearted honesty and the way he could bring a smile to any situation will be remembered by all who knew him.
Mike will be remembered for his kindness, his easy smile, his unwavering loyalty, and his love for the people in his life. His spirit, laughter, and adventurous heart will live on forever through the countless lives he touched.
A celebration of life drop-in will be held on May 30, 2026, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Gaston County Shrine Club. 505 Pinkney Rd. Dallas, NC 28034.
Family and friends are invited to stop in at any time during these hours to honor Mike, share memories and celebrate a life lived fully and passionately.
May he rest in peace, riding freely on endless roads beneath wide-open skies.
