He was the very first Fire Chief in Little River, driving the very first fire engine into town from Columbia, SC. Well-known and respected, he started his own contracting business in his 20’s. He was owner/operator of Mitch Brown Painting for his entire life.
In his younger years, he enjoyed taking his boat out on the water, fishing, riding dirt bikes, shagging and was always a familiar face wherever he went. His exceptional work ethic poured over into his hobbies. He enjoyed being outside where he always felt close to God. He left his mark on everything he touched because he put his heart and soul into all that he did.
Mitch loved and adored his family and friends and their time spent together. He was not only the patriarch of his immediate family; this also expanded out to his extended family, friends and even friends of his family.
