Sid was born on March 11, 1955, in Silver Springs, Maryland to Willard Frymyer and Carrie Mynes and spent his early years around Fairfield, VA. He spent much of his career with Cogentrix Energy, operating, procuring and maintaining electric power generation sites and infrastructure across the United States. Though he spent his professional life working in power generation, he was a hardworking universal tradesman, taking on many tasks and projects of various complexity around the home, neighborhood and community.
To relax, you could find him in the wind on his Harley Davidson. Taking many trips to Sturgis, ND, cruise-ins throughout Eastern Carolina’s and a staple at Bike Week, he found the most joy in disconnecting from the world on two wheels. For many years, he rode with The Patriot Guard, assisting veterans and their families in saying goodbye to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Sid was known for his magnetic personality, attracting loyal friends and acquaintances everywhere he went and usually bringing a great time along the way. Those friends came from everywhere too, as he traveled to motosports events, festivals and family outings. Sid took great pride in his children, their families and their achievements, taking every opportunity to celebrate them all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Willard. He is survived by his love, Karen Craig; siblings, Judy Harris (Randy), David Fox (Denise), and Jay Fox (Angie); children, Kelly Jackson (Kris), Steven Frymyer (Jessica), and Dean Frymyer (Lindsay); grandchildren Samantha Gelina (Jimmy), Thomas Jackson (Katie), Jakeob Jackson (Rebecca), Stone Jackson, Hudson Frymyer and Charlie Frymyer; and great-grandchildren Chesney and Bryer Jackson
A Celebration of Life is planned to be held at Brisket in North Myrtle Beach on May 17, 2025, that will be open to family and friends from 1:00-4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Patriot Guard Riders at PatriotGuard.org
