Robert Sargent

Robert J. Sargent, 71, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at home with his family at his side.

Born on October 12, 1946 in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Betty Nan Conner.

Mr. Sargent graduated from Boardman High School and Youngstown State University. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Airman in Grand Forks, ND.

Bob retired as a Process Engineer at Youngstown Sinter Company and enjoyed NASCAR and golfing. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jean A. ”Ginger” Trybus; two sons, Christopher Sargent (Dana), Allan R. Stratton, Jr.; three daughters, Cynthia Bumgardner (Jim), Sandy McDowell (Dan), Lynn Wilking (Brian); brother, Richard L. Sargent; eight grandchildren, Jocelyn, Cassi, Dan, Corey, Austin, Brady, Ryker, Norah; and three great grandchildren, Seamus, Erin and Liem.

Services will be private with the family.
