William “Bill” Ernest Decker, age 79, of Longs, South Carolina passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. William was born on October 8, 1945, in Birmingham, AL., but grew up in Washington, DC. He was the son of the late William O. Young and Gloria Fulton
Bill was a proud United States Navy veteran. He often spent his Sundays cheering on his favorite football team the Washington Redskins. When he was not rooting for the Redskins, Bill enjoyed watching Gunsmoke along with any other western television show. Bill had a great sense of humor and could make anyone smile and laugh.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Callie Anne Decker; daughters, Michelle Crigger (Terry), Olivia Smith (Hunter); sister, Dori Decker. Along with 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his son Gary Nunley.
A service will be held by the family privately.
