Wilson D Grimes

went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2015.

He fought a good fight, he finished his course, kept the faith. He is now walking the

streets of gold with his Savior. He has no more need for his earthly body,

but is enjoying his new glorified body as he strolls around that Heavenly City

with those that have gone on before.

Danny graduated from Sharples High School, Sharples, WV, Class of 1969.

He worked as a coal miner for 29 years, member of Local 2935.

His last years were spent at Nova Lighting Company in Myrtle Beach before retiring 3 years ago.

He was of the Baptist Faith, past member of Ball Chapel Church and Chapmanville United Baptist,

attending Lakeside Baptist of North Myrtle Beach.

Born October 22, 1951, he was the son of George W. Grimes and Virginia White Grimes.

He is preceded in death by one son, Little Danny, sister, Donna Grimes, parents and grandparents.

Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara Holstein Grimes;

son Michael Grimes (Franchaska), granddaughters Laikyn, Kerigan Reese Grimes of Wheelersburg, Ohio;

granddaughter Mollie Smith of Beckley, WV; special nephew, Jamie (Amber) Jarrell and great niece, Addison;

special pet companion, Mitzigirl, that he loved very much and a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 12, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Robert Schultz and Jeff Lane will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
