Anthony Cerbone

Anthony was born in Orange, NJ and spent his early years in West Orange before moving to Livingston, where he raised his family.

Anthony was deeply proud of his many accomplishments throughout his lifetime. He was a devoted family man, a proud Italian American, a Korean War veteran, an entrepreneur and a gifted conversationalist. He had an incredible curiosity about the world and could speak knowledgeably about almost anything. People were naturally drawn to him because there was always something to learn from him.

Anthony worked as a Producer and Director in the motion film industry which allowed him to travel the world. His film credits include Boys from Brazil, In-Laws and the Live Aid Concert, along with many memorable commercials.

Anthony is survived by his 6 children: Anthony, Linda (Sam) Ciardi, Michele (Keith) Jones, Licia Cerbone, Karla (Nick) DeAngelis, and Maria Cerbone.

He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren: Marisa (Jon) Doran, Vinnie (Jacquie) Ciardi, Sammy (Katie) Ciardi, Rachel (Matt) Ryan, Brad Jones, Charlie (Caroline) Pontiakos, Ellie Pontiakos, Jamie Pontiakos, Maggie Pontiakos, Nicky DeAngelis, Carly DeAngelis, Dante (Sidney) Masini and Joseph Masini.

Anthony was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren: Quinn, Siena, Olivia, Brooke, Claire, Andrew, Audrey, Reese, Maeve and Luca.

Anthony had a true zest for life that he shined through in everything he did. His love presented itself in many ways. He was our favorite dance partner, an avid fan of Frank Sinatra, a wonderful cook, a captivating storyteller and the most dedicated sideline coach and cheerleader. He always listened with patience, offered thoughtful advice, and made every member of his family feel loved and supported.

His legacy will live on in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00 am, at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 346 E Mt Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039, with a Committal to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
