Elizabeth "Liz" Lenihan

Elizabeth “Liz” Lenihan (nee: Johnson) passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, surrounded by her loving family. They will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Thursday, May 7, 3-8 PM. Everyone is invited directly to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 28 Livingston Ave., Roseland, where the Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be offered at 10 AM on Friday, May 8th . The committal service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Liz was born in Jersey City and had graduated as a Registered Nurse from Seton Hall University. She was currently a senior consultant with Cerner Corporation whose mission, as was Liz’s, is to contribute to the systematic improvement of health care delivery and the health of communities. She also had spent a number of years as a Registered Nurse.

But the most important part of her life was her husband and children and a special love for her dog Mollie. Liz loved to travel, dance and spend time at the Jersey shore. She was a member of the Irish American Society of the Oranges and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Roseland.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Denis, her loving and devoted daughters, Erin, Kristen and Mairead Lenihan; she is also the dear sister of Noreen Johnson, Walter Johnson and wife Joanne, Gerard Johnson and wife Lori and Keith Johnson and wife Cathy and many nieces and nephews.
