Gail A. Ring

Gail A. Ring (nee Safko), of Livingston and Silverton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday July 28, 2013. Born in Newark, NJ, and raised in Nutley, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philomena’s Church 396 South Livingston Avenue Livingston, NJ, on Friday August 2, 2013 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park E. Hanover, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 East Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ; on Thursday August 1, 2013 from 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Gail was employed by the Livingston Board of Education for 25 years before her retirement as an administrative assistant, this year. Gail was devoted to the students in the Livingston School System and enjoyed working with her co-workers at the board. She loved spending time at the house at the shore with family and friends. Gail was predeceased by her parents Albert and Sonia Safko, and her brothers Albert, Kenneth and Leonard Safko, she is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Robert J. Ring, her devoted daughter Danielle Witham and her husband Eric, her cherished granddaughter Lenore Witham, her dear brother John Safko and brother-in-law Timothy and his wife Colleen Ring and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice & Palliative Care 95 Old Short Hills Rd. West Orange, NJ 07052 or the American Cancer Society.
