

Born in 1935 to Nicholas V. Caputo and Carmela DiBartolo in Newark, New Jersey, Josephine lived a selfless life filled with warmth, kindness, and compassion. She was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and her ability to light up any room with her smile.
Throughout her life, Josephine touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind lasting memories of her love and generosity.
Josephine's proudest accomplishments were her children. She is survived by her children: Nicholas J. Ventola (Maureen), Dean Ventola (Janet), Lisa Picillo (William), Jill Fuccello (Tom), and Gary Ventola (Jennifer). She was a loving grandmother to Dina (Mike), Marissa,(Nick), Kayla, Samantha, Matthew, Marie, Thomas, Zachary, Olivia, and Emma, and a great- grandmother to RJ and Sofia. Josephine is also survived by her sister, Connie Apicelli. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas S. Ventola.
Josephine was the co-founder of All County Sewer & Drain Service. She also worked for the Livingston Public School System, Prudential Financial, and Paper Mart, Inc.
A devout Catholic, Josephine was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Roseland for over 60 years. In her earlier years, she was a member of the OLBS Rosary Society and served as its President.
In the last six years, Josephine found joy in spending time with a wonderful group of ladies at the Livingston Senior Center, Oak Leaf Club, and AARP Livingston Chapter 3663. The friendships she formed in this community were a true blessing, and the family is forever grateful to these women.
Visitation for Josephine and her family will be held on Tuesday, April 1, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 28 Livingston Avenue, Roseland, New Jersey. Interment to follow, Gate of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum, East Hanover, New Livingston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Josephine will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
