Beloved wife of predeceased Ernest Douville and Albert Froment. A loving mother to her predeceased son Ernest Douville and survived by Debra Douville, Wayne Froment, Frances Antonacci, Thomas Froment. Lucille is also survived by her sister Violet Godlewski and her children Susan Pease, Steve & Leonard Godlewski.
She was devoted to her grandchildren Shannon Whitbeck, Amanda Pelkey, Alida and Anais Abeigon, Cornell, Pamela, Tanisha and Cyra Froment. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
Lucille was a home maker who enjoyed sewing, baking and devoted her time to raising children including 8 foster children. She treated everyone with respect, dignity and was a caring friend to all. She played the piano at a young age and enjoyed music of all kinds. She loved to dance and later in life, competed in ballroom dancing championships, which kept her agile and vibrant. Lucille enjoyed camping, nature hikes and volunteered her time to many organizations. She loved a good lobster, made rice krispy treats for her grandchildren and never forgot a birthday.
On Sunday, September, 15th The family will be attending a mass for Lucille at 11:30 a.m. at St Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Ave, West Orange, NJ 07052, followed by a gathering of friends and family at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home on 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039 from 1-3 PM.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in Lucille’s name to the Connecticut Cat Connection, a non-profit organization dedicated primarily to finding loving homes for the many cats that are strays, abused, abandoned, surrendered or impounded, with a ‘No-Kill’ policy. https://ctcatconnection.org
