Marie A. Dougherty

Marie A. Dougherty, (nee: Kohaut), of Roseland, formerly of Livingston, passed away at her daughter’s residence in Redding, CT. on November 7, 2012. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday, 3-8 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered at St. Raphael’s Church, 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, on Monday at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County, P.O. Box 489, Wilton, CT 06897.

Marie was born in East Orange and had lived in Livingston for 51 years moving to Roseland in 2003. She graduated first from LaSalle Junior College and then received her Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University. She retired as a medical technician from Overlook Hospital, Union, after fifteen years. Marie was a active communicant at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and on its Bethany Bereavement Team.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Maurice and beloved children M. Thomas and Kathleen, she is survived by her devoted children, Jean Kelly, Daniel and Patti Dougherty; her loving grandchildren, Sean, K.C. and McKenzie Kelly, Tristan Koopman and siblings John, Charles and Edward Kohaut.
