Michele was born in Vallata, Italy, son of Michelina and Antonio. Michele lived in Vallata, met and married his wife Pasqualina, who he was married to for 66 years until he passed. They had 5 children, 4 boys and a girl.
Michele worked as a farmer, before seeking more for his family, traveled with his brothers, Gaetano and Francesco, to Switzerland and Rome and worked as a mason, before migrating to the U.S. In 1970, in Newark, NJ.
Michele, worked a few different jobs trying to establish himself for a few years, before bringing over his eldest son, Antonio first, and then in 1974, after establishing themselves, with employment and a home big enough, brought the rest of the family over.
Michele, lived in Newark before moving to Livingston. He worked at Seton Hall University for over 25 years, as a groundsmen and landscaper, before retiring in 1997.
Michele was a family man, who was passionate about landscaping and was very proud of his home garden. He couldn’t wait for every spring to prepare his garden, which he grew, Eggplant, zucchini, & hot Italian peppers among others. But, he was most proud of his tomatoes, which he grew plenty, and was proud to share with family and friends. Michele was always quick to lend a hand to a family member or a neighbor in need. You would find him helping a neighbor with landscaping during the summer, and helping them with snow in the winter. He enjoyed time with his family, and was always happy to have his many children, grand children and great grand children around. He will be dearly missed.
