

Salvatore Anthony DeSantis, Sr., 73, passed away at his residence in West Orange surrounded by his loving family. They will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Friday, 4-8 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., West Orange, on Saturday at 10 AM. The committal service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, NJ 07052 or a charity of your preference.
Sal was born in Orange and graduated Orange High School in 1959. He moved to West Orange forty years ago. Sal worked for Luce, Schwab & Kase Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration in Fairfield, retiring in 2012 after thirty-seven years. Previously, he worked for Dunphey-Smith Sheet Metal Supplies in Union. Sal was also a professional drummer working in various clubs In the area and was also a drum instructor.
. Salvatore was an avid Giants fan and loved his trips to Atlantic City, and spending time with his family.
Survived by his beloved wife, Lucille (Repoli), his devoted children Salvatore, Jr., Laura Stefanelli; loving grandchildren Gina Vizcaya, Alexandra and Robert Stefanelli and his cherished great grandchildren Adriana and Ava Rose Stefanelli and Aria Vizcaya; Salvatore is also survived by his dear sister, Gail DiDomenico and brother-in-law Mark..
