Susanne E. Trader

Sue was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She met her husband, Donald Trader by chance at a dance that generated a loving relationship of 70 years, celebrating their 60th year of marriage in 2024. Prior to raising her family, Susanne was a Supervisor at NJ Bell in Newark, NJ.

Susanne leaves behind her cherished children, Lisa Jorgenson (James), Donald M. Trader, and grandson Kyle Jorgenson.

Sue was happiest surrounded by family and those she considered family. So many of the connections dear to Susanne began in her formative years in Jersey City and expanded through generations including the children and grandchildren of her relatives and friends. Susanne held a special place in her heart for her sister-in-law Vera Trader, whom she befriended as a child. Sue was a loving aunt and great aunt to many. Susanne was predeceased by her brother Richie, her parents Richard and Betty, her brother-in-law John Trader and lifelong friend Mary Mayka.

Susanne's loved ones cherish memories of her gentle nature, warm smile, and expressive eyes. Susanne's gift was her ability to appreciate goodness in all whom she encountered.

Family and friends are invited to attend Susanne's Visitation on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ 07039, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ 07039, at 10:00am, with a Committal to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
