

Alifonsa Ybarra of Longmont died May 29, 2007 at Life Care Center. She was 94.Alifonsa was born on November 12, 1912 in Savinal, Texas to Jose Cardona and Josefa Rodela. She was raised in Texas. In 1953, she moved from southern Texas to Morgan County, Colorado. The family moved to Longmont in 1982.Married twice, Mrs. Ybarra was preceded by both her husband Jose Salas and Esteban Ybarra.She was a homemaker, as the maternal leader for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.She has been a member of the El Shaddi Assembly of God Church, Longmont for many years.Preceding her in death were two sons David Salas and Guillermo Ybarra.Surviving are 5 sons, Ruben Salas and his wife Jenny of Fruita, Jose Felan and his wife Rose, Louis Salas of Longmont Rodolfo Salas and his wife Martha of Poteet, Texas, and Miguel Ybarra and his wife Dora of Sioux City, Iowa; 6 daughters Maria Morales, Josie Perez and her husband Elias and Dolores Ybarra all of Longmont, Consuelo Gomez and Esperanza Perez of Boulder and Ilda Ybarra of Aurora; 42 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren and 53 great-great grandchildren.Visitation hours will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 4 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at the Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
