Barbara June Guertner

Barbara June Guertner, 78, passed away November 16, 2018 at her home.She was born June 14, 1940 in Benkelman, Nebraska to Harold and Alta (Holcomb) Garner. As a young girl she moved with her family to Fort Collins, CO. Barbara graduated from Poudre Valley High School.In 1959 she married Carroll Steinbock and they farmed in Eastern Colorado for several years. They divorced. Barbara married Donald Guertner in 1964 and they moved to San Marcos, CA for a year and then returned to CO and located in Longmont. Don and Barbara later divorced.Barbara worked as a seamstress at Camp 7, provided licensed day care in her home and finally as a secretary at FCI Construction.She was a loving homemaker and mother.Barbara was a member of the Red Hat Society and an avid bridge player with a club in Erie at the Longmont Senior Center.She was preceded in death by two sons Michael Steinbock in 1984 and Craig Steinbock in 1994, her daughter Brenda Kay Guertner in 2016 and granddaughter Samantha Steinbock in 1994.Barbara is survived by her son Scott Steinbock and wife Sheila, granddaughter Michelle, great grandchildren Jadin, Landen and Carter, sister Shirley Boswell and husband Dale, nephews Chris and Jeff Boswell and their families.Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am, with a funeral beginning at 10:30 am on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
