Barbara A. Jensen

Barbara A. Jensen died March 8, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 78.Barbara was born July 31, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harold and Mildred (Jensen) Freer. She grew up in Minnesota where she graduated from West High School in Minneapolis.On April 1, 1951 she married Clarence Jensen in Great Falls, Montana. Together they moved to Boulder in 1967 where she earned her LPN at nursing school. In 1971 they moved to Hygiene and Barbara worked in the ER, ICU, and Maternity ward at Longmont United Hospital until she retired in 1986.She was of the Lutheran faith and organized the original Easy Breather Therapy class at Longmont United Hospital.She enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling.Barbara is survived by her husband Clarence; two sons Daryl E. Jensen (Shelley) of Longmont, and Brett J. Jensen of Longmont; one daughter Kathy Haroldson of Longmont; nine grandchildren Jennifer Dawn, Jamie, Shane, Brad, Dana, Ashley, Danny, Cameron, and Tia; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.Memorial service 2PM Thursday March 15, 2012 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
