Bernice Virginia Paiz

Bernice and her husband, Aaron Martinez, met in Longmont on September 11, 1995 and have been together for a beautiful 26 years.

Bernice loved her two daughters, her husband and 3 grandkids (including a granddaughter on the way) as well as her entire extended family. She was the biggest Broncos fan and loved to eat menudo when watching them play. She also loved spending time with all her family and playing with her grandchildren, even when she was not feeling the best. Bernice took everyone in and loved everyone she met. She was a person to brighten up the room or give you the shirt off her back if needed.

Bernice was well loved by everyone she surrounded herself with.

Bernice is survived by her husband, Aaron Michael Martinez; oldest daughter, Alexis Martha Martinez and youngest daughter, Stephanie Marie Martinez; her son-in-law, Jose Guerrero; three grandchildren, Anaveah, Junior and Damian Cortez. She also had a granddaughter on the way, Davina Guerrero. She also is survived by her four siblings, Louie, Jeannie, Joe, and Jimmy Paiz as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and her two dogs, Precious and Mohna.

Bernice’s parents, Joe and Virginia Paiz, preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 21 at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St. in Longmont.
