
When Carolyn was 4, her family moved to Holyoke, CO, where she spent the remainder of her childhood. She graduated from Holyoke High School with the class of 1969, who continued to be her lifelong friends, rallying around her during her battle with cancer.
Carolyn and her daughter Wesley moved to Longmont, where Carolyn worked for a variety of businesses as a payroll and accounting clerk. In recent years, she was a logistics coordinator for Aurora Organic Dairy, who also provided her with much support during her illness.
She was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church and was a longtime member of a small Bible study group whose members became her close friends.
Carolyn loved to read, embroider and spend time with her grandchildren. She felt her life was blessed with a loving family and many friends, and she treasured time spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her daughter, Wesley Pickering of Longmont; grandchildren, Alyssa and Kody Pickering; brothers, Steve Sullivan and wife Cathy of Holyoke and their children Ashley Sullivan and Jared Sullivan, and Jeff Sullivan and wife Olga of Holyoke and their children Cierra Sullivan, Tristan Sullivan, and Brenna Sullivan; aunt, Linda Williamson (who was more like a sister) and husband David of Holyoke and their children, Tancy King and her children Preston, Madison, and Mason, Lacey Williamson, and Levi Williamson and wife Karin and their sons Evan and Jack; aunts, Marianne Sullivan of Holyoke and Joan Long of American Falls, Idaho; and many cousins and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary in Longmont, CO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont.
