

Charles was born in Suffern, New York to the late Clifford Ward and Cora Wanamaker Ward. He graduated from Suffern High School and worked construction with Ward Pavement. He served his country with distinction in the Korean War with the U.S. Army.
Charles moved to Lockport, New York in 1962 with his wife and family and was an Agricultural Salesman working with FMC Corporation and Conagra. He enjoyed being in the fields with the farmers and the great outdoors. In his free time his passion was woodworking.
A man of few words, he had a great sense of humor and a quick wit.
He is survived by his children Charles (Laura) Ward, Jr. of Dayton, Ohio and Kathy (Don) Jenkins of Mead, Colorado. He also leaves four grandchildren Julie, Katie, Gregory and Thomas and a brother Eugene (Grace) Ward of Manlius, New York.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23 at the Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, Suffern, New York. Interment will follow at Mahwah Cemetery, Mahwah, New Jersey.
