
Chris, a poet and artist, was also an Avalanche and Rockies fan as well as an avid collector of prized sports cards.
Chris was an achieved motor-cross competitor and was awarded many winning trophies during his career as a young man. He attended middle school in Longmont and finished his education in Denver. Chris was an intelligent man. He was offered two college scholarships based on his I.Q. alone. Chris, a troubled young man due to circumstances not of his own making as a child, chose a different path in life.
Chris loved his many cherished friends and was always there for a friend in need. He often went without to give to another.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
As Chris would say; “Hail Odin!”
He is survived by his Mother, Paula Peacock, step-Father Joe Showers, both of Longmont. His Sister Alexis Peacock-Laughlin and Brother-in-Law Tommy Laughlin of Kerrville, Texas, his Nieces; Delana Peacock (Longmont) and Kylie Straub (Kerrville, TX), Nephews; Michael Peacock (Denver) and Tyler Straub (Kerrville, TX) and Great Nephew Preston Peacock (Longmont), Grandfather, Paul Lucas (Tyler, TX) two aunts, Susie and Reta, one uncle, Joe and several cousins (Houston, Ft. Worth , Dallas and Austin, TX).
Chris was proceeded in death by his maternal Grandmother, Georgia Lucas in December 1990 and maternal Aunt, Sharion Yuglich in February 2014
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Service.
