Corey Matthew Suits

Corey Matthew Suits of Denver, Colorado, passed onto God on September 21, 2008, in Denver, Colorado. He was 39 years old. Corey was born May 2, 1969, in Helena, Montana to William Richard ""Dick"" Suits, Jr. and Eugenie ""Genie"" Amelia Benoni Suits. He graduated from Berthoud High School in 1987 where he was President of his Senior Class. He also swam, wrestled, played baseball, was captain of the football team, and became an Eagle Scout.Mr. Suits earned a degree in biology from the University of Northern Colorado. He had taught for several years in Longmont, Niwot, and at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Denver. Corey especially enjoyed working with students in gifted and talents programs. He also enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors while boating and hunting.Corey married Mary Knudson in Lakewood. The couple later divorced.Survivors include his mother, Genie of Berthoud; brothers, W. Rexford Suits and his wife, Heather of Berthoud, and Garey Trevor Suits of Johnstown, Colorado; three nieces, Sierra, Shania, and Jenna; and two nephews, Trevor and Justin. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles including Connie Olszewski, Alice and Joe Bonneville, Bill and Anne Benoni, Marie Croteau, Anita and Jerry Skaggs, and Dianne Benoni, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services of Longmont.Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America - Troop 6, c/o First United Methodist Church, 9th and Lake Ave., P.O.
