Dale E Lynn passed away suddenly at his home in Longmont, Friday, April 2nd 2021. Dale was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 30, 1956. He moved to Longmont with his parents Joe and Vera Lynn in 1962.
Dale was a proud Longmont Trojan graduate and still today followed the basketball and football programs each season. Dale had worked at King Soopers in Longmont for many years and kept in touch with many of his friends to this day.
His passion was hunting and fishing and he loved it very much. He would never turn down a chance to go out with one of his buddies when he had the chance.
When at home, he was an avid gardener. He took pride in his immaculate lawn and gorgeous flower beds. He loved nothing better than to sit on the back porch and admire his perfectly groomed yard. He was a fantastic cook and you could often find him sharing delicious home cooked meals with others.
Dale loved his daughter, Lisa, very much and had great joy when his grandson, Colton, was born in January 2020. Dale loved his first and only grandchild, “Honey-man” or “C”, (as he called him,) more than anything in the world. Dale was looking forward to teaching C to fish and take care of a garden as he got bigger. All of us that love him are saddened by his unexpected passing.
We will all miss him very much. Love you Dad/Grandad! Our prayers are with you.
In addition to his parents, Joe and Vera Lynn, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeffrey Jay and Kevin Garry. Dale is survived by his daughter, Lisa Lynn, son-in-law, Rusty Jenkins; grandson, Colton Jenkins; sister, Vicky (Jim) Borst, niece, Nicole Borst and nephew, Troy Borst, as well as several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will take place 11am, Friday, April 30 at Howe Mortuary Chapel.
