David Michael Crowder

David Michael Mike Crowder was born at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia on June 1, 1956. He was the oldest child of Edwin B. and Jean A. Crowder Johnson. After graduating from Fairview High School in 1974 in Boulder, CO., Mike entered the University of Colorado Boulder for 2 years. Leaving C.U., he worked in the oil fields of Wyoming and California. After 8 years in CA working different jobs, he returned to Longmont for 5 years. He spent time in NV, AZ and FL and for at least 5 years, he has lived in Ft. Collins, CO.All through these years, Mike kept in touch with many high school friends. All who knew Mike will miss his bright smile and indomitable spirit.Mike loved all sports and was an active participant in Boulder city league basketball and baseball.Mike was preceded in death by his younger brother, Robert A. Crowder, on November 25, 2005 and his father on September 9, 2008.Mike is survived by his mother, Jean Crowder Johnson of Sunrise at Flatirons Retirement Community and his sister, Carol Jean Crowder, both of Broomfield, Co., nieces Stephanie Jean D'Angelo MacArthur and husband Nathan and Julia Nicole D'Angelo and nephew Trevor Byron James.Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 326 Terry St., Longmont, CO.
