

David Sherman Fry of Evans, Colorado died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was 75David was born May 4, 1932 in Almartha, Missouri to George and Elsie Pearl (Freeman) Fry. He grew up in the Ozarks of Missouri, at 18 moved to Kansas, and has lived in Colorado since 1961. David married Doris June Ray in 1949. The couple later divorced.David was an auto body mechanic who owned his own businesses, D&F in Longmont and Auto Reconstructors in Boulder. He enjoyed leatherwork making many craft items as well as saddles and bridles. When he was young, David enjoyed hunting. He also loved horses, did horse shoeing, and enjoyed country music. Kids, his own and his grandchildren, were his life. He loved being around them and doing things with and for them.His parents and two daughters, Sherry Lawrence and Sandra Faye Fry, preceded Mr. Fry in death.David is survived by his six children: Kirk D. Fry and his wife Denise of Firestone, CO, Ken D. Fry and his wife Ruth of Westminster, Co, Cindy D. Smith and her husband Brian of Buhl, Idaho, Debbie F. Reynoldson and her husband Slaton of Lusk, WY, Kurtis W. Fry of Greeley, CO, and Kaylynn What of Seattle, WA; a brother, Charley Fry and his wife Allie of Bakersfield, CA, two sisters: Ruby Thompson and her husband James and Dorothy Fry, all of Greensburg, KS; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.Visitation for Mr. Fry will be at Howe Mortuary on Thursday, September 20 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. at Howe Mortuary on Thursday with burial at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
