David was born December 4, 1969, in Buffalo, NY to David Nick Schubert and Billie Lynn (Taylor) Schubert.
David grew up moving from Buffalo, NY to different New England states where the family finally settled in Vermont and lived for 14 years. David graduated 1988 from North Country High School, Newport, VT, where he was active on the varsity football team. Following high school, David enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was decorated as a Foreign War Veteran where he attained the rank of E-4 as crew chief as Jet Engine Mechanic in the first Gulf War.
After returning to the United States and civilian life, David entered and graduated from Colorado State University. For the past 14 years he has been employed with Advance Tank and Construction Company, of Wellington, CO where he was currently in the capacity of Estimating Manager for the company.
While at college in 1993 David met Julie L. Collier of Crown Point, IN and they were married on October 11, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
David and Julie were blessed with two children Ainsley and Ty. David adored his wife and children, focusing on them and their life shared together. As a young man working for a landscape gardening company, he developed a fondness for gardening and the out-of-doors. His home and cooking for his family were his passion as they grew together. While in Vermont, David had a strong love for sailing with his mother and father along with golf with his dad. As an avid sports fan, David was a loyal follower of his beloved CSU Rams, Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and NASCAR.
David is preceded in death by his mother Billie.
Surviving is his wife Julie, daughter Ainsley, and son Ty; all of Windsor, CO; along with his father and step mother Nick and Joanie Schubert of Longmont, CO.
A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary-Longmont, CO.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 15 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Windsor.
