Donald Shane

Shane was born February 18, 1955 in Sweetwater, Texas, the son of K.S. “Tommy” and Peggy (Presley) Lee. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in petroleum engineering and worked for Noble Energy.

He is survived by his mother Peggy of Hays, KS; his brother Dane Lee, sister-in-law Elizabeth Olmo-Lee and their children Alexandra and Ian of Fairway, KS. Preceding him in death were his father and his infant brother Mark.

A vigil will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and eulogies beginning at 5:30 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. A funeral luncheon will follow mass at The Rib House in Prospect. Burial will be in Hays, Kansas at a later date.
