Donald Tocko

Donald E. Tocko, 87, of Mead, CO passed away December 14, 2014. Donald was born September 11, 1927 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Joseph A. and Catherine (DeVaney) Tocko.Donald spent his childhood in Lincoln, NE graduating from Lincoln High School in 1945. He attended DeVry University in Chicago, IL for a short time before being drafted in 1946. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines from 1946-1948, reaching the rank of Sergeant.Donald married Dorothy Mae Fox from Newport, NE on September 15, 1950 in Iowa. Donald was an electronics and adhesives salesman selling for such companies as Loctite and Dow Corning before retiring in 1992.Donald was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Longmont. He was a charter member of the Westminster Elks Club and the Longmont chapter of the American Legion. He was an avid fly fisherman and also enjoyed tinkering with HO scale model trains.Donald was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, sisters Maxine Tocko, Betty Smith and Patricia Clark and brothers Ross Robinson and Joseph Tocko.Donald is survived by his son Joseph and wife Marnie Tocko of Longmont, 4 grandchildren, Kassie Tocko and Nikki Tocko of Milliken, Mathew Tocko of Longmont, Jacob Tocko of Mead and 4 great- grandchildren, Paris Tocko, Braelyn Frank, Shelby Briles and Caden Briles.Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 19, 2014 at Grace Evangelical Free Church.
