Elaine Davidson-Lawson

Elaine was born June 5, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Nicholas Paul Rosdil and Naomi Blanche (Hughes) Rosdil.

She married A. R. Bruce Davidson on Sept 26, 1959. They moved from Chicago to Pennsylvania, where both of their sons were born. She worked at Penn State University.

In 1966 they moved to Boulder, Colorado where they raised their sons and enjoyed many camping trips in the beautiful Colorado wilderness.

Elaine worked at the University of Colorado and in 1973 they moved to Longmont. She worked for the St. Vrain Valley Schools from 1975 to 1995 in various positions.

Elaine married LeRoy D. Lawson, a retired Navy captain, November 6, 2010 in Longmont, CO. They were blessed with many joyful years together, sharing many annual trips to Florida, some riverboats trips on the Danube, Mississippi and Columbia rivers, cruises to Alaska and the Baltic, and they made many memories in Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. She is survived by her husband Lee, her son Ken Davidson (Kristi) of Longmont, son Scott Davidson (Deann) of Westminster, granddaughters Courtney Davidson McBride (Layne) and Brittany Davidson Strufing (Ryan), her sister Pat Rosdill of Longmont, CO, her sister-in-law Karen (Frank) Robitaille of Longmont, CO, her adored great-grandsons Carter and Maverick McBride and Trey and Walker Strufing and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

She is also survived by her stepfamily, Ronald Lawson, Kerrie Lawson Cortez (Fred), grandsons Alex and Keith (Christina) Cortez.

Elaine felt blessed with the wonderful family and friends put into her life. She loved music all of her life and had and extensive record collection dating back to her school days.

Memorial Donations may be made to Longmont United Hospital Foundation, or the Westview Presbyterian Church Round Pantry.

A memorial service for Elaine will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Westview Presbyterian Church, 1500 Hover St, Longmont, CO 80501, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
