

Elizabeth (Betty) Demianew, 98, passed away on October 6, 2023, in Longmont, Colorado. Elizabeth was born on December 1, 1924, in Snow, ND, to Michael Orbanosky and Anna Haverlock. She graduated from South Heart High School in South Heart, ND. Elizabeth married Tony Demianew on October 11, 1949. Tony & Elizabeth moved to Longmont in 1971, from Belfield, ND.
Elizabeth worked various bookkeeping and clerical jobs including Farmers Union, Manns Automotive & Krushenky’s John Deere Store in ND, the Ideal Market in Longmont and finally retiring from 1st National Bank in Longmont, in February of 1992. She was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, and a past member of Women of The Moose and the American Legion. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, listening to music & playing board games. She loved & followed all Colorado sports teams.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons; Robert Demianew, of Loveland, CO, and Ryland Demianew, of Mead, CO, four daughters; Loretta Kunsman, of Pierre, S. Dakota, Karen Demianew, of Longmont, CO, Carlotta Archuleta (John), of Greeley, CO, Linda Monteil, of Longmont, CO, and a sister; Marie Colony, of Edmonds, WA.
Elizabeth is survived by four grandchildren; Valori (Bill) Fairbanks, of Sparks, NV, Kristi (Tim) Lloyd, of Jamestown, N. Dakota, Ryan Geworsky, of Longmont, CO, and Melanie Demianew, of Longmont, CO, and five great-grandchildren; Alex (Dan) Murphy, Camryn Fogal, Isaac Lloyd, Rebecca Lloyd, and Emma Lloyd. She is also survived by Fred Monteil and his five children whom she loved like her own.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband; Tony Demianew, a son; Richard Demianew, her parents; Mike & Anna Orbanosky, two brothers; Bill Orbanosky and Steve Orbanosky, a daughter-in-law; Paula Demianew, and a son-in-law; David Kunsman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, starting at 5 p.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, with a Rosary to follow starting at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, starting at 10 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.
The Graveside service will be held at the Longmont Mountain View Cemetery, following the mass at approximately 11 a.m.
