

Emily Cordova, of Fort Lupton, passed away at her home October 18, 2016 from a courageous battle with multiple system atrophy. She was 56. A Longmont native, she was born April 19, 1960 to Louis and Teodora (Romero) Cordova. Emily grew up and attended schools in Longmont. In the 1980’s she moved to Fort Lupton where she started her family.
Emily was blessed with a fantastic personality and was always the life of the party. Having never met a stranger, everyone adored her and she was loved by many. She was a Broncos and Rockies fanatic and was very proud of her New Mexico culture. Emily dearly loved her family and friends and her contagious smile and laughter will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Isis) Rodriquez and T.J. Martinez, both of Fort Lupton and Zachary (Olivia) Martinez of Brighton; granddaughters, Alyssa Rodriquez and Alynna Madera; siblings, Josephine (Alfonso) Acosta, Jake Cordova, Anthony (Beth) Cordova, Mary Alvidrez, Jesse Cordova and Louisa Cordova all of Longmont as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including her English Mastiff Grand dog, Sasha. In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Cordova and niece, Christina Moreno.
A Celebration of Life Wake will be held 7pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Bella-Sera Event Center, 45 Strong St. in Brighton. A Rosary will be held at 10am, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. William Catholic Church, 1025 Fulton Avenue in Brighton. A Mass will immediately follow at 11am at the church.
