Garry Lynn Hervey

Garry L. Hervey, 67, LCSW, La Quinta, Calif., died peacefully Wednesday, October 21, 2009 after a lengthy neurological illness. Garry completed his undergraduate education at Colorado State University and his post-graduate education at Florida State University. Dedicated to the care of others, he most recently practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the hospice programs at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif.; Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; and as Director of Social Services at Hacienda de Monterey Skilled Nursing Facility in Palm Desert, Calif.A native of the Berthoud and Longmont, Colo. region, Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Walton and Ethel Hervey; and loving aunts Ethel Nygren and Fern Nygren.He is survived by many caring cousins, family, and friends; and his life partner of 18 years, Bert C.
