Gary Glen Kuhn

Gary Glen Kuhn of Longmont, Colorado, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Longmont United Hospital. He was 64 years old and fondly known as ""Moon"".Gary was born in Independence, Missouri on September 22, 1944, the son of Glen Kuhn and Beulah Hazelbaker Kuhn. He married Donna Thomas in 1965 and they lived in Shawnee, Kansas before moving to Longmont in 1977. They were married 20 years. He was later married in 1993 to his wife of three years, Arlene Demanche.Gary worked as a dispatcher for several trucking companies before moving to Colorado. He then worked as an electrical lineman for the City of Longmont for 25 years before retiring in January 2004. He then worked three years with Reliable Power Consultants.He had an incredible love for the mountains as well as fishing, camping, and collecting knives. He was a Past Master of the St. Vrain Lodge #23, A.F. & A.M.He was preceded in death at a young age by his father, Glen Kuhn. He was also preceded by his mother, Beulah Stewart, and his step-father, Loren Stewart.Gary is survived by his daughter, Robin Schallenberger and her husband, Scott, of Wellsville, Utah; six grandchildren, Kaitie, Veronica, Falicia, Juan, Maria and Joey; two sisters, Donna Lee Kuhn of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Judy Hollinger and her husband, Rex, of Paola, Kansas. He is further survived by his first wife, Donna Thomas Kuhn of Loveland, Colorado, and also by his second wife, Arlene Demanche of Longmont.A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 701 Kimbark St., Longmont.
