
Grace Ann James of Mesa, Arizona, died at the Banner Gardens Hospice in Mesa on December 5, 2007. She was 60.Grace was born on February 17, 1947 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Roger and Billie (Thompson) Galer. She grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She attended Indiana University of Music, received her associate degree from Rochester Community College and then her bachelor?s degree in nursing at Winona State University. Grace worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota until she retired.Grace was married to Richard James on May 9, 1992 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The family had visited and vacationed in Colorado and had intended to live here until Grace?s health declined.Her father precedes Grace in death. She is survived by her husband, Richard of Mesa; her mother, Billie June Gee of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; one son, Roger Wagner and his wife Gail of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters: Carla Michelson of Rochester, Minnesota and Laura Poffenberger and her husband Jason of Kernersville, West Virginia; two step-sons: Jeremy James of Riverton, Utah and Donald James and his wife Mary of Loveland, Colorado; four brothers; one sister; and nine grandchildrenA service was held in Mesa, Arizona on Friday, December 7. Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary in Longmont on Monday, December 10, 2007 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Howe Mortuary with Bishop Don Park of the Longs Peak Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will take place at the Loveland Burial Park at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
