Harmony Anne Harthan

Harmony was born on August 20th, 1985, to parents Ross Edward Russell and Hollie Kay Russell in Longmont, Colorado.

Harmony Anne and Daniel Ronald Harthan were married on July 28th, 2014, at the Fox Hill Club in Longmont, Colorado.

Harmony grew up in Longmont Colorado in a tight knit community of close friends and loved ones. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from University of Northern Colorado. Harmony taught third grade at Loma Linda Elementary School in Longmont, Colorado.

Harmony loved to travel and explore. Together Harmony and Daniel traveled Europe and all over the western US on many adventures. Summers were filled with camping trips with friends in Moab UT, or spending time in the family cabin at Red Feather Lakes. To Harmony, every new destination was a canvas, and it was through her adventures that the truest colors of her personality were finally brought to light.

Harmony and Daniel moved to Frederick, Colorado shortly after marrying where they bought their first house and started their family. Their children Wyatt and Grant were born in Brighton, Colorado and Longmont, Colorado respectively. Harmony learned many crafting hobbies from her mother and spent her days crafting, painting, and building a beautiful life for her children. Harmony loved to create and customize everything she touched, adding beauty to the world around her.

In December 2021, Harmony and family moved to New Market, Alabama. Harmony returned to teaching, working with special needs children in New Market Elementary and later worked with high-risk youth at Sparkman High School in Harvest, Alabama. Her passion for teaching and creating was a gift to many. Her quiet, meek demeanor veiled a beautiful personality and amazing sense of humor.

Harmony is survived by her husband Daniel Ronald Harthan, her children Wyatt Ross Harthan and Grant Daniel Harthan and loving dog Waffles, of New Market Alabama; her father Ross Edward Russell of Longmont Colorado; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ronald Harthan and Ediene Harthan of Evans Washington; sister-in-law Kelly of Nashville Tennessee; brother in-law Jeramy (wife Hailey) of Sheridan Wyoming; brother-in-law David (wife Adriana) (nephew Liam) of Aurora Colorado.

Harmony is preceded in death by her mother Hollie Kay Russell (October 8th, 2022).

During this difficult time, your kindness and support have meant more to our family than words can describe. Thank you for your comforting words, heartfelt sympathy, and for honoring the memory of our beloved Harmony. Your presence, prayers, and kindness have brought us great comfort and strength.
