

Henk J. van Moorsel of Johnstown Colorado passed away on November 21, 2017 in Loveland, Colorado. He was born in Tilburg, The Netherlands, October 30, 1930 to the late Johanes and Annette (van de Ven) van Moorsel.
His primary schooling and vocational schooling was there in Tilburg. As a child of WWII he had many stories of happenings during that war.
Henk immigrated to the USA in December of 1964 coming to Denver. He was very proud of being able to open his own auto repair shop in Denver after being here only a short time. After selling his shop he was able to become a teacher of auto mechanics in District 50 in Westminster Colorado.
He also was very proud when he became an American citizen. Henk was very interested in music and sang with a Men’s choir The Arion Gesangverein for many years. He also was a member of many German clubs in Denver for many years.
Henk is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol van Moorsel, two Sons, Godfried van Moorsel of Denver, Gert van Moorsel (Melinda) of Aspen. One daughter of Lakewood Colorado, Annette van Moorsel. Two granddaughters, Courtney and Christina and three great-grand grandchildren and his step-sons Jeff Williams of Longmont, Colo., and Alan Williams of Avon, Indiana
Also surviving his dear friends entire families of the van Beeks and Arthur Groth.
He is also survived by his brother Frits, half-brother Frans, half-sisters Marianne van Grinsven (Frans), and Addy van Loon, all of Holland. Many nieces and nephews in Holland. Preceded in death were his half-brother Ton as his parents.
Visitation will take place Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont: a Celebration of life will take place Thursday November 30 at 10:30am at Howe Mortuary, with a reception following. Burial will take place at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado following.
