James Farrell Hoyt Adams was born in Deerfield Beach, Florida in October of 1944 to parents Nova Lee Eller and James Franklin Adams. He is preceded in death by both parents as well as his older sister, Sundy. He is survived by his partner of 21 years Michelle Caputa, sister NovaGail Robinson, his three adoring daughters, Alicia, Ashlee and Jessica, and only grandson, Stryder. Farrell, as he was known, was charisma incarnate, making fans of nearly everyone he met. He was an expert fisherman, a hunting enthusiast and an avid observer of nature. In his earlier years he was a thrill-seeking adventurist. As a young man, he was a terrific athlete - “equally at home on the court, gridiron, and diamond”. In his later years he mastered carpentry, enjoyed Western cinema and loved fixing anything and everything, often unconventionally. He will be remembered very fondly for his wry sense of humor, home cooking, and sharp intellect. He was much beloved by his family and will be deeply missed. He died peacefully surrounded by his daughters on September 28, 2021. Services will be held privately.
