James Dean Ferguson

Jim passed away peacefully at home on October 31st after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Rockford, IL, the oldest of 5 children, to James and Jean Ferguson. His family found their way to Southern California where Jim met his wife of 52 years Linda (Byrd). He proudly joined the United States Air Force in 1967 during the Vietnam War. Jim served 5 years active duty and then Reserve duty until retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. After active duty he worked in the Title Insurance industry. His last position before retirement was the state Underwriter for Colorado. Jim and his family have resided in Longmont, CO since 1997. Jim enjoyed vacationing with family, gardening, playing guitar and participating in church functions. Jim was known for lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Jean, and his sister, Cindy. He leaves behind his wife Linda, sons Brian (Chanda), Matthew (Yvette), daughter Katie (Michael) and grandchildren Brenden, Bricen, Chaela, Isabella, Korben and Makenna. He also leaves behind his remaining siblings and nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for James will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1000 15th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
