Born in Topeka Kansas to John and Charity Kane, Jim was ever curious and quick to laugh. James was one of four children. He was passionate about fishing and traveling and dedicated his life to his career, favorite pastimes and of course his family.
James served in the Navy early in his career journey. In 1968, James met his wife, Sandra and together they raised three children. James retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years.
James was predeceased by his wife Sandra and his sister Carol and leaves behind his three children, Michelle, John and Jamilyn. James was Ampie to 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A small family memorial service will be held December 30th at 2p at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with interment at a later date in La Veta, Colorado. The family values your condolences and requests no donations or flowers be sent.
