James was born February 28, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA, the only son of John F. “Jack” and Lucille (Koestoer) Normanly. Following high school he attended Pierce College in Los Angeles.
He had always loved Colorado and moved to Longmont in 1976. He was a long haul truck driver, working for Golden Van Lines for over twenty years, retiring in 2008 for health reasons.
Jim enjoyed his numerous close friends in both California and Colorado. With his friends he passed time golfing and socializing.
He is survived by his sisters, Sister Elizabeth Normanly of Santa Ana, CA and Jeannie Normanly of West Covina, CA, and his dear friend Joanie Yaussi of Winter Park, CO.
Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the services.
