Janet Linda Bentley

Jan was born on November 24, 1952, to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Harvey) Calkins in Denver. After graduating from Boulder High School, she married Steven Bentley on 08/09/1968. Jan owned and worked in businesses in Longmont and Estes Park. She was quite a saleswoman and a wonderful baker. She took some college courses in accounting and did bookkeeping as well. Later, Jan worked for Stapp Interstate Toyota before retiring. She lived in Longmont for over 40 years before moving to Indian Hills.

She enjoyed many hobbies from photography to knitting, painting, and gardening. Later in life she developed the travel bug and loved doing so with her daughters, Tammy and Jennifer. They were able to take some great trips even during treatments.

Jan was preceded in death by Steven, her beloved husband of over 33 years, her sister Anita Calkins and her parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Calkins. She is survived by her daughters Tammy Foley (Robert) and Jennifer Bentley (Craig Levy) as well as her sister Diane Calkins (John Pughes).

A celebration of life will be held at Altona Grange, 9386 N 39th St, Longmont, CO 80503 on Friday, September 29 from 5-8pm. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to their favorite charity in Jan's name.
