Joyce E. Heimbichner

Joyce E. Heimbichner of Longmont died November 24, 2011 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 72 years old.She was born December 15, 1938 in Greeley, CO to Elmer and Gertrude (Peterson) Anderson. Joyce grew up in Eaton, CO graduating from Eaton High School.On February 22, 1959 she married Marvin J. Heimbichner in Greeley. They moved to Longmont in 1969.Joyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the delight of her life.She was a member of Faith Community Lutheran Church and committed to her faith. She was a Stephen Minister, enjoyed many Bible studies and was active in the Prayer Shawl ministry at church. Joyce also volunteered at the Atwood Shelter.She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Duane.Joyce is survived by her husband Marvin of Longmont, two daughters Wendy Johnson (Brian) of Burnsville, Minnesota and Sandra Doty (Mark) of Greeley, one brother Ronald Anderson (Lauretta) of Eaton, CO, one sister Carol Honstein of Ft. Collins, CO and 4 grandchildren Derek, Shaun and Sarah Johnson and Lynnea Doty.Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, with family present to greet friends. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Faith Community Lutheran Church, 9775 Ute Highway, Longmont. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley. Memorial contributions to American Lung Association can be mailed in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
