Judi Morgan

Judi Morgan, of Longmont, passed away March 11, 2011 at Longmont United Hospital after a brief illness. She was 69 years old. Judi was born on February 9, 1942 in New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Frank and Doris Giordano. She lived in Branford, Connecticut where she graduated from Branford High School in 1959. She remained in Branford raising her family until 1975 when she relocated to Colorado. Judi started her Housing Authority career in 1977 in Loveland, CO. She ultimately retired in 2008 from the Longmont Housing Authority as the Executive Director after 19 years of service. During her tenure as Director, Judi was instrumental in the development for affordable and elderly housing for the citizens of the city. Judi was a member of a number of Longmont civic and social associations including Longmont Rotary Club, Longmont Elks Lodge and served on the Board of Directors for Mental Health Partners (formerly known as Boulder County Mental Health). She enjoyed water color painting and sketching as she recreated frequently at her vacation home in Estes Park Judi is survived by three children, Geoffrey Morgan of Branford, Connecticut, Michelle Morgan of Longmont and Garrett Morgan of Longmont, CO and her two grandchildren Kaitlynn and Gregory Morgan of Branford, CT. Visitation will be 5-7PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with family present to greet friends. A vigil service will follow the visitation at 7PM on Wednesday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Rotary Charity Fund and mailed to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
