Katherine Randa

Katherine was born on August 28, 1924 in Hays, Kansas to Fred Koerner and Katherine (Herman) Koerner. She married Richard Randa on February 3, 1951 in Hays.

The Randa’s moved to Brighton, Colorado in 1959 and raised their family there. She was a wonderful homemaker providing for her husband and four children. Following the loss of her husband she took on various jobs to support her family. Those included working child home day care; working at Russell Stover Candies, taking care of Vestments for her Church and working on the catering staff for the Elks Lodge of Northglenn. She enjoyed Polka dancing and Holiday dinners at her children’s homes.

Surviving are her children Sharon Lehr of Lochbouie, Colorado; Judy (John) Winter of Enid, Oklahoma; Becky (Ben) DiSalle of Thornton and Dennis Randa of Broomfield; 7 grandchildren; Troy Winter, Krystal Olsen, Tim winter, Brent Lehr, Karie Adema, Andrea Bonifacino, Stephany Bonifacino, 7 great grandchildren Lukas, Kiera, Brenden, Vincent, Hunter, Autumn and Levi and 3 great-great grandchildren: Jamie, Gabriel and Huntley.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Northglenn. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2 also at Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton, Colorado.
