Dear Ray and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.  I just found out that Kathryn had died last year.  I worked with her at Niwot High School for 4 years. She and the girls would come over to my house once in a while and share a glass of wine and shoot the breeze and solve the problems of the world.  We shared a lot of laughter.  She was quite a lady.

My Dear Kathryn, I think of you often but especially when we have secretary meetings.  We all miss your presence at those meetings, your knowledge of our job was priceless, your sense of humor made us all laugh, and your uncanny way of asking sensitive questions is GREATLY missed. As a student journalist at NHS, Mrs. Petri was my greatest ally. She lovingly razzed me about being a member of the press at every opportunity, and she genuinely cared about my life and my professional interests. For the many interviews she helped me schedule with the principal, her readership and her encouragement that kept me on the path I walk today, I owe an enormous debt of gratitude. Mrs. Petri, you're a gem.

I am so sad to hear about Kathryn this morning. I always loved seeing and talking with her. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies to Ray, Lizzie, and John during this very sad time.  I remember so well Kathy's bright spirit and warm heart well from the days when you lived next to Don and Doris in Bettendorf.  She was always a good sport about helping Oma and Opa get downtown to watch me run the Bix.  What fun we always had trying to find all of you in the crowd!  Rest in peace Kathy - you will be missed by all.

I was saddened and shocked to hear about Kathryn's passing.  I loved her honesty; she was a straight shooter.  I will miss her terribly.  I was honored to know her and her family are in my thoughts.  Rest in peace, Ms. Kathryn and thank you for all you did for Niwot High.

My warmest condolences to the whole family ! Although I personally did not know Kathryn, I feel i did through her son John. He always spoke so highly of her and loved his visits and talks with her as well. I can tell through the things John would share that she was a wonderful and warm, understanding and caring Woman, Mom and Friend. 
John would tell me she was his closest confidant and that he could always tell her anything , even if she it may have been something she may not have wanted to hear. What a great relationship for a child to have with their Mother. My heart goes out to you all..And John, we all know that no one can ever take her place as that confidant and replace that unconditional love but you have extended family ( mine and others) that can and will be there for you...  We are sending you and your family much love and energy to get through this very hard time! XOXO

I am deeply saddened by Kathryn's death .  Not only was she a colleague at NHS, but she was a comfort to me when my own husband succombed to cancer.  I will miss her brassiness, her loud, from-the-gut laugh, and her caring concern. She truly was a Steel Magnolia.

I enjoyed working with Kathryn so much.  She helped keep me focused and let me vent when I needed a listener.  God bless and watch over you and may she continue to be alive in your hearts and in ours.  She loved her family so much and was so proud of all of you. Peace be with you.

 Kathy was a great woman who was a devoted wife and mother. I justed loved her. I remember when she came up to college to visit Liz on her birthday. She just giggled at her ""college girls"". She has a special place in my heart and always will. My heart breaks for you all and I pray you find the strength to get through this extremely difficult time. Love and hugs to a wonderful family.

Kathy was a dear and cherished friend … her laughter filled my heart with joy.  Having Kathy as a friend was a blessing that I will always treasure.  She was a sincere, loving and caring friend in good times and in bad….my life and the world is much better for her being in it.  Knowing Kathy, you felt the love she had for her family and friends and especially Carter.  While no words of mine can ease your loss I want you to know that I am grieving with you.  She will always remain very much alive in the memory of those of us that knew and loved her.   I send my love and prayers to you Raymond, Liz and John and pray that your memories of her will bring you comfort and peace.

Kathryn was a neat lady to know and work with, she always made you laugh, I will miss her. You are in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

I am sorry for your loss. Death can be very difficult to cope with, I pray you will find peace and comfort from Jehovah the God who comfort those who mourn.-II Corinthians 1:3,4. Jesus also gives us hope for those who are sleeping in death. There will be an earthly resurrection when with the help of God's holy spirit, he will restore those in the grave back to life, with the prospect of eternal life on the paradise earth.-John 5:28,29; 11:38-44; Luke 23:43. Until then may God continue to bless the Petri Family.-Isaiah 66:13.

Kathryn was a dear, treasured friend.  I will miss her terribly and cherish her memory.  Her love of  family was inspiring, especially for little Carter.  I loved hearing the stories from her recent trips to Texas and the time spent with her grandson.  She was a grandma who loved unconditionally.
KP always made time to spend an evening with friends at a local restaurant.  She was a good listener.                       She always showed interest in others. Kathryn was a loving, caring, spiritual and thoughtful friend.  I am a better friend to others because of her.  
I know that she is at peace and pray that the family and friends be strong in faith to get them through this loss.

What a pleasure it was to get to know Kathryn while working for St. Vrain.  She was a wonderful lady, who took great pride in her job.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family at this difficult time.  Deb Bell

I had the pleasure of working with Kathryn and thoroughly enjoyed her wit and humor. Kathryn was very knowledgeable regarding her job so she was an outstanding resource and mentor.  I will especially miss seeing her at our monthly meetings.  We could always count on her to ask the questions the rest of us didn't want to ask and she did it with a professionalism like no other. Kathryn was such a beautiful Lady!  She was a colleague and involved with many activities with the SVVESP.  God's blessings to her family.

Words cannot express my feelings.  Kathryn was a friend and a colleague, and I will miss her very much, we all will.  My heart bleeds for Ray and her family.  I will keep her family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.
