Kevin Hugh Pash, 67 of Longmont, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2019. Kevin was born January 30, 1951 in East Meadow, New York, on Long Island, to Harry and Tootie Pash. He spent his childhood in Long Island and went to the Military academy where he was a track runner, and eventually graduated from Ramapo High School in 1969.At the age of 18, Kevin left New York and made the long drive to Colorado in his Austin-Healy Sprite to the promised land of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains with visions of skiing to class at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). Despite the postcard's less than accurate portrayal of the mountain in relation to the University, Kevin enjoyed his time at UNC and made Colorado his home. While at UNC he was most proud of his time spent as a radio DJ for the school's award winning KUNC radio station, which is still operating today. Most will remember his made-for-radio voice. His work at KUNC eventually led to a chance run in with his future wife, Gail Christine Fisbeck, at the station.Kevin received his degree in business and communications from the University of Northern Colorado in 1974 and an MBA, also from UNC, in 1979. His academic achievements led to a long, successful career spanning marketing, sales, and human resources roles for large multinational corporations. On June 14, 1975 he married the love of his life, Christine Fisbeck, in Pickle Gulch, CO, near Black Hawk. They moved to Arvada, CO in 1983 with their first daughter, Amanda Christine and one year later welcomed their second daughter Hailey Victoria. Kevin was a devoted family man, prioritizing his daughters' ballet recitals, softball games, and school events throughout their childhood. Kevin was most proud of his daughters, who both went on to achieve master's degrees as he had hoped they would, one in environmental engineering, the other as a nurse practitioner. Kevin is survived by his wife, Chris Pash and their two daughters, Amanda Pash Brimmer of Broomfield, CO, and Hailey Pash of Denver, CO; his two granddaughters Abigayle and Juniper Brimmer; mother, Tootie Caporale, of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Susan Pash Ely of Centennial, CO, and Janet Pash Smith, of Castle Rock, CO, as well as many other loved family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to KUNC at kunc.org or Mountain States Children's Home at www.msch.org/.
