

Mary is survived by children Wayne, Michael, Elaine and Donalee, and one brother Larry Montoya and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mary was born on May 12, 1932 to Guadalupe and Jennie Montoya in Longmont, CO. The family moved to Brighton, CO at some point and Mary spent most of her younger years there and because she was the oldest daughter she had a strong hand in raising her brothers.
Mary M Montoya and Joe R Vialpando met in Brighton, CO around 1951. Their two oldest boys Wayne and Michael were born in Denver joining older brother John, also born in Denver. And then the family moved to Steamboat Springs, CO in 1955. They went on to have two girls Elaine and Donalee, Mary's beloved first born John, plus the other four made five children. All whom they happily raised in Steamboat Springs, CO while Joe worked on the railroad. Mary cared for her children, making their clothes, cooking and keeping all things in order. Mary was a good and amazing woman and a great mother. She is loved and adored by all her children and grandchildren.
The children in Mary's life were her absolute pride and joy. She had her own five children and lived to have 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren ALL who she got to meet and love and hold. Mary was also known for loving to cook and could whip up a tasty meal on a moment's notice because she loved to feed everyone :)
Mary retired several years after losing Joe, and went on to enjoy quilting, sewing, and all of her other creative endeavors. She was also able to care for and spoil all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary will join her family in heaven, son John, her husband Joe, grandchildren Ryan and Melissa; both parents and her brothers: Carl, Eloi, Leopoldo, Patrick, and her sister Christina. Mary will be greatly missed, and will live forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
