Michelle married Boyd Buderus in Las Vegas, Nevada, and together they had two sons. Later, they divorced and Michelle stayed in Denver until her passing.
Michelle lived in Denver most of her life and although she did not have a place of her own, she lived with people who cared about her and enjoyed watching her dabble in her artistic abilities. Michelle had some pretty amazing art pieces that she was proud of, some were beautiful pieces, and some were a reflection of her trials. Michelle had some secrets that she was unwilling to share with most of the people she came in contact with, but that did not change her ability to be kind, respectful and caring for others. Michelle tried to learn some Spanish so she was able to talk with some of the children that would come into the worker's place. She had a beautiful smile and a sweet laugh. She will be missed by many.
In her younger years, she always looked after her younger siblings and was known for her gentle and giving spirit. As a child, she spent much of her time with her aunts and uncles, who adored her dearly. Though life’s challenges led her down a difficult path, she will be remembered for her compassion, her sweetness, and the joy she brought to those who knew her then.
Mental illness is a struggle that affects many, and Michelle’s life is a reminder of the importance of love, understanding, and support for those facing such challenges. You never know what someone is going through, be kind, loving and supporting as they may have skeletons that won't go away but although they seem guarded, they still need to be loved and cared about.
She is survived by her son, William Allen Buderus of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her brother, Michael Morey; and her sister, Christina Tyre. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Lee Buderus; her parents, Edwin Eugene Morey and Carol Sommerfeld; and her brother, Curtis Eugene Morey.
She will be deeply missed by her family, including many nieces and nephews who, though some did not have the chance to know her well, will carry her memory with love.
