Richard Evan Adams

Richard Evan Adams, of Berthoud, CO was born Jan. 1, 1943 in Long Beach, CA to Evan William and Lura Alberta (Bouldin) Adams. He died Christmas day, Dec. 25, 2017 at Good Samaritan in Loveland, CO.He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1961.Richard married Linda L. Robinson on May 26, 1962. They had two daughters together, Lorie Lynn and Julie Dee. He owned a gas station in California. Richard, Linda and family moved to Colorado in 1969. He worked for the Cemex Cement Plant, also known as Southdown and Martin Marrietta, for over 30 years.Richard married Patricia on Nov. 29, 1975. They had one daughter, Katherine Ann.Richard enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He also liked to watch movies, especially Westerns. He was a fan of the Broncos and the Rockies.He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Linda, and his daughter Lorie.Richard is survived by his second wife, Patricia; his daughters, Julie Jones (Curt) and Katherine Peters (Shane); his grandson, Keith Jones (Jessica); his great-granddaughter, Isabelle; two granddaughters, Kimberly Holland (Drew) and Tyler Adams; two great-grandsons, Parker and Carter Holland; his sister, Linda Denson (Woody); his brother, Ronald Adams (Jonné); and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and one great-great-nephew.A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with a reception to follow at the church.
